The 43rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is returning to Balboa Park this weekend. \n  \nPut on by a volunteer organization known as the Irish Congress of Southern California\, the event is solely funded with event revenue\, donations and grants provided by an array of businesses and individuals. \n  \nThis year’s theme is “Celebrating Irish Business\,” with organizers saying the day will be filled with excitement and “Irish entrepreneurial spirit.” \n  \nSan Diego’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is set to take place Saturday\, March 15\, 2025. The festival grounds\, located at Balboa Park\, will open to the public at 9 a.m. The parade will then begin at 10:30 a.m. with the starting point at ​Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street. \n  \nThe festival takes places from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. \n  \nActivities\, food and entertainment \n  \nThis all-ages festival will have something for the whole family. There will be craft booths\, where attendees can shop for all things Irish. There will also be a kid zone\, where the young ones can enjoy games and rides \n  \nAnd let’s not forget the food vendors — whether it’s corned beef hash\, cabbage and sausage or soda bread\, the options are many when it comes to indulging in Irish fare at this local festival. For libations\, there will be a beer garden onsite for those over the age of 21. \n  \nLive entertainment is also scheduled on two separate stages. DESCRIPTION:Collision of Rhythm is a duo comprised of tap-dancing classical virtuoso\, Aaron Williams\, and beatbox-juggling keynote speaker\, Bronkar Lee. They have worked with companies like GoPro\, Coca Cola\, and Google\, and have been featured on The Tonight Show\, America’s Got Talent\, and SuperBowl commercials. Both have achieved internet fame with “rhythmic” viral videos — Aaron\, through his virtuosic rendition of  Mario on Marimba (over 100 million views)\, and Bronkar\, as the Beatbox Dad\, through a video of him beatboxing with his son (over 200 million views). \n​ \nAaron and Bronkar first performed together onstage in a completely improvised moment during a TEDx event in Hollywood in 2013. They met backstage and knew they were musical soul brothers. Since then\, they’ve performed entertainment shows\, led educational outreach workshops\, and given keynotes on collaboration and teamwork all across the U.S. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThough there are only two of them\, they fill the stage as a 12-person ensemble would\, moving from instrument to instrument with a high level of skill and diversity. What’s created is a richly explosive experience like nothing else out there — rhythm-centered\, but also full of melodic movement and dynamic depth. They have also shared the decks with some of the leading producers and artists from around the world. The Kimonos took part in festivals from Coachella\, Burning Man\, Heart Festival Miami to the Playa in Tulum\, and Desert Craft in Colombia. They were already known from their hometowns in Italy and Israel where many DJ’s are from. With time and more involvement and shows\, the decision was made to play together. The Kimonos music build a deep connection with their audience through a mix of afro and melodic house\, combined with personal style and trending tunes. “En Su Lugar” is the duo’s first record featured with Malone\, which was released by the Witty Tunes label in 2019.
