SUMMARY:Chris Dave X Marcus King X Cory Henry X DJ Ginyard
DESCRIPTION:Chris Dave\n\nThere’s a good chance you’ve heard Chris Dave play drums\, even if you didn’t know it was him. Over the last 20 years\, the Houston-born percussionist\, bandleader\, and producer has played with some of the most revered names in jazz and R&B\, offering his unique drumming style to songs by D’Angelo\, Justin Bieber\,The Robert Glasper Experiment\, and Adele. \nThe Roots’s bandleader Ahmir Questlove Thompson once called Dave “the most dangerous drummer alive\,” a characterization that Dave playfully dismisses. “I don’t believe that at all\,” he deadpanned during a recent interview. Maybe that’s why he endures: He lets the work speak for itself. And his music is so resonant that it does just that. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarcus King\n\nMarcus King faces heartache\, addiction\, and mental health head-on in his music. Pain quakes below the vibrato of his voice\, and his delivery weighs heavy with booze-drenched regrets and mistakes in lonely hotels. The GRAMMY® nominated fourth generation musician from Greenville\, SC\, started playing guitar at 8-years-old following in the footsteps of his guitarist Father and Grandpa. Logging thousands of miles on the road as “The Marcus King Band\,” he established himself with unparalleled performance prowess. \nDuring 2020\, he linked up with Dan Auerbach and cut his solo debut El Dorado\, garnering a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Americana Album. ”Between headlining venues\, he performed alongside Chris Stapleton\, Greta Van Fleet\, and Nathanial Rateliff in addition to gracing the bills of Stagecoach and more. He has launched various mental health initiatives\, including a guitar auction collaboration with MusiCares. \nNow\, his 2024 album Mood Swings feels like the moment of baptism when water washes away a life’s worth of sins and degradation and all that’s left is a revived\, yet still real-as-hell primal scream. It’s as if King strained raw soul straight from his gut up through that broken heart andon to the record under the watchful eye of Rick Rubin. \nEmphasizing his vocals front-and-center more than ever before\, the trusty guitar he’s so often associated with plays the sideman this time around (thoughthere’s no shortage of impressive shredding). For as dark as everything seemed\, you can’t help but feel a sense of hope in the power of Marcus’s voice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCory Henry\n\nSimply put Cory Henry is a Grammy Award Winning Artist\, Composer\, Producer\, Multi-instrumentalist\, all around keyboard master\, and is the future of music! \nIn 2021\, Cory’s album Something to Say was nominated at the 2022 Grammy Awards for Best Progressive Album and as a co-writer and producer on Kanye West’s Donda and Eric Bellinger’s New Light. Other collaborations include: Imagine Dragons\, Rosalia\, Smino\, Lucky Daye\, and many more.Cory was previously a member of Snarky Puppy\, and during his time in the band he garnered three Grammy Awards! \nMost recently Cory’s latest masterpiece\, Operation Funk\, has garnered attention from fans all over the world as he delivered sold out shows in Israel\, Spain\, Amsterdam\, Australia\, and throughout the United States along with playing most of the major music festivals. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDJ Ginyard

SUMMARY:Star Theatre Presents\, “Something Rotten”
DESCRIPTION:Two brothers set out to write the world’s first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway.  Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous\, crowd-pleasing musical farce\, Something Rotten.  Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick\, and successful screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell\, Something Rotten was lauded by audience members and critics alike\, receiving several Best Musical nominations and hailed by Time Out New York as “the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years”.  Set in the 1590s\, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing\, dancing and acting at the same time\, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night\, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self\, and all that jazz. SUMMARY:Tank And The Bangas
DESCRIPTION:Tank and the Bangas explore the most tender and true parts of life’s journey. Unique and with a vibrance that could only come from New Orleans\, the lead vocalist\, Tank has stretched her vocals over quirky raps\, poetry\, and rich melodies since the release of their first album\, Think Tank in 2013. Four years later\, they had a viral breakthrough as the winners of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest — an eclectic performance that has since been praised by musicians like Miguel and Anthony Hamilton and has now amassed over 14 million views on YouTube. Now\, Tank and the Bangas arrive with a new 3-part album The Heart\, The Mind\, and The Soul. With this offering\, Tank opens up about the wisdom she’s gained from new beginnings\, endings\, and in-betweens. \nRecent winner for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album for The Heart\, The Mind\, The Soul at the 2025 GRAMMYs\, the concept of this album series came to Tank two years ago while traveling on a train with her group members. Its structure makes it different from the rest of the catalog\, and so does the special emphasis Tank has put on her poetry\, collaborators\, and its cohesive sound. “It explores self-discovery\, the journey to confidence\, believing in your ability\, matters of the heart\, the mind\, and just free thought flowing\,” Tank says about the album. \nOn The Heart\, the first part to be released and produced by James Poyser\, Tank flows back and forth between poetry and a velvety alto that deepens every thoughtful word as she riffs about her deepest sentiments on life. The opening track\, “A Poem Is” boasts a feature from Jill Scott — an appearance that Tank is thrilled about especially because her mission with this release is to magnify poetry as a music genre. \n“I want for poetry to get that much more respect and for even more young people to get into the expression of poetry\,” Tank expresses. “I want it to be seen as even more cool again.” \nTank has always considered herself a poet first\, but at the start of her career\, she used singing to draw listeners into her music. This album is a return to that first love and one we can hear on “Open to Thy Self\,” a song Tank penned in a cottage in The Netherlands and a standout track that gives us a look into her gentle inner monologue as she gives herself unconditional self-love through all of her phases. \nTank created a different soundscape with each collaborator for each part of the project. Producer Iman Omari\, known for his lo-fi dreamy loops\, paid attention to every detail of each beat and brought out a more “vibey” side of Tank on The Mind. She built The Soul with producer and jazz musician Robert Glasper\, who led free-formed recording sessions that made room for Tank to discover the melodies and let ideas flow. \nOut of all the music\, she feels especially drawn to a song co-produced by Kaidi Tatham\, called “This Black Girl.” It’s a self-proclamation of the beauty and transformative power of black woman/girlhood — along with the realities of combating the privilege of white women and misogyny. “I think it’s one of the best poems in history. Yeah\, I said it\,” Tank says. \nWith The Heart\, The Mind\, and The Soul\, Tank and the Bangas affirm the thoughts\, feelings\, and complexities of these key parts of self. ”I’m writing about my experience and feeling more open\, free\, and much more confident\,” Tank says. “Before\, even though I had such a big voice\, sometimes I felt quieted. It feels good to stretch on my own terms.” \n\n\nSat\, Nov 8 7:00 PM (Doors 5:00 PM)Find Tickets\nMastercard Premium Reserved SeatingFIND TICKETS\n\n\nSat\, Nov 8 9:30 PM (Doors 9:00 PM)Find Tickets\nMastercard Premium Reserved SeatingFIND TICKETS\n\n\nSun\, Nov 9 7:00 PM (Doors 5:00 PM)Find Tickets\n\n\nSun\, Nov 9 9:30 PM (Doors 9:00 PM)Find Tickets

SUMMARY:Holo Holo Irvine
DESCRIPTION:HOLO HOLO IRVINE – FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! 🌴🔥 \nWe’re bringing the island vibes to Orange County for an unforgettable debut you don’t want to miss. One epic day. One massive lineup. All the good vibez. \n📅 November 1\, 2025\n📍 Great Park Live\, Irvine\, CA \nBe part of history. Lock in your pass now before they’re gone! \nABOUT HOLO HOLO MUSIC FESTIVAL:  \nHolo Holo Music Festival was born from a love of island and reggae music—a genre deeply rooted in connection\, culture\, and movement. The festival first set sail in 2022 at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University\, bringing together fans to celebrate the vibrant sounds of the islands. With the spirit of holo holo—meaning “to travel\, to sail\, to move”—the event quickly expanded\, reaching new shores in Las Vegas and Sacramento in 2023. By 2024\, its journey continued with a highly anticipated stop in San Diego. \nNow\, in 2025\, we’re excited to take Holo Holo even further\, bringing the music and community to Oceanside\, Las Vegas\, Sacramento\, Tacoma\, and San Diego! As we continue to move and grow\, the festival remains a space for connection—where fans can gather for two days of unforgettable performances\, incredible food\, and the shared love of island and reggae music. \nFor Good Vibez Presents co-owner Dan Sheehan\, Holo Holo is more than just a festival—it’s a reflection of his roots. “Growing up in Ewa Beach\, O‘ahu\, island music and reggae were the soundtracks of my childhood. These styles—the heartbeat of the islands—are the backbone of my work as a festival producer and venue owner. A big part of Good Vibez Presents is about discovery\, and I’m honored to showcase and celebrate these artists at Holo Holo Festivals.” \nFor over 25 years\, Good Vibez Presents has produced hundreds of immersive\, multidimensional concerts and festivals across the West Coast\, Hawaii\, Arizona\, North Carolina\, and Mexico. They are the driving force behind the California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey\, the largest reggae-rock festival in the country. With a deep commitment to supporting nonprofits\, small businesses\, and creatives\, Good Vibez Presents continues to build events that foster community\, uplift artists\, and spread positivity. \nHolo Holo Music Festival is more than just a gathering—it’s a journey. And in 2025\, we can’t wait to holo holo with you.
