SUMMARY:San Diego's annual Asian American Dance Festival
DESCRIPTION:Last year’s inaugural festival and 5-month residency program were optimistic gambles that proved to be a huge success. With the help of over 30 community volunteers\, we presented 34 choreographic works\, served 191 artists from Southern California and around the globe\, and reached over 500 local audience members here in San Diego. Building on this amazing momentum\, AADF2026: Becoming Asian American is aiming even higher and hoping to increase the number of artists and audiences served. \nIn order to accomplish our lofty goals for 2026\, we need everyone’s support—local dance artists\, students\, teachers\, studio owners\, volunteers\, sponsors\, business owners—from hands on help to fundraising and more. Team AADF is a small group of passionate volunteers\, but we can’t do this alone. We’re counting on community to join us again and help get AADF2026 on stage!

SUMMARY:US Open Adaptive Surfing Championship
DESCRIPTION:One of the top adaptive surfing events in the world. In 2017\, the Stoke for Life Foundation held the very first U.S. Open adaptive surfing championship in O’side\, driven to bring awareness to the rehabilitative benefits of adaptive water sports and the importance of beach access for people with disabilities. Over the course of the weekend\, what the beachgoing crowd quickly learned was that elite world-class adaptive surfing is equal parts inspiring and exhilarating—and totally aggro. Now\, each year the best of the best paddle out on the north side of the O’side Pier to claim a piece of the $30\,000 prize purse.

SUMMARY:BUDDY GUY 90
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE CONCERT …with Special Guest CHRISTONE “KINGFISH” INGRAM! Buddy Guy brings his 90th birthday celebration to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park! At 90 years old\, he stands as one of the most influential guitarists in American music. As a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and a pioneer of Chicago’s explosive West Side sound\, Buddy Guy remains a guiding force for generations of rock and blues legends. \nThe nine-time Grammy winner has also earned a Lifetime Achievement Grammy\, 38 Blues Music Awards\, the Billboard Century Award\, the Presidential National Medal of Arts\, and the Kennedy Center Honor. Rolling Stone ranks him #23 on its list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time\,” underscoring his unmatched impact on modern music. \nBorn in 1936 to a sharecropper’s family in rural Louisiana\, Guy arrived in Chicago in 1957 and went on to reshape the sound of the electric guitar through groundbreaking work with Chess Records and influential recordings of his own. His recent achievements include a 2019 Grammy win for The Blues Is Alive and Well and the acclaimed PBS American Masters documentary Buddy Guy: The Blues Chase the Blues Away. \nToday\, as he celebrates 90 years\, Buddy Guy remains an American music icon – one of the last living architects of the electric blues tradition. Please note: The San Diego Symphony Orchestra does not appear on this concert.

SUMMARY:'Arsenic and Old Lace'
DESCRIPTION:Arsenic and Old Lace \n\n\nBy Joseph Kesselring\n\n\n\nMurder\, manners\, and mayhem \n\n\n\n\nAugust 14 – September 6\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\nFriday-Saturday @ 7pm\nSaturday-Sunday @ 2pm \n\n\n\n\n\nDirected by Kira Blaskovich \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbby and Martha Brewster\, two sweet\, silver-haired spinster aunts\, practice the kindest form of charity: elderberry wine laced with arsenic for lonely old gentlemen. Their fast-talking theater-critic nephew Mortimer uncovers the macabre family secret amid his whirlwind engagement. Add a brother channeling Teddy Roosevelt and a Boris Karloff-lookalike criminal\, and the farce bursts into pandemonium—as the cellar stacks up with bodies. A timeless hit\, Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic dark comedy about the only thing more deadly than poison: family.

SUMMARY:'Advanced Persistent Teenagers' - A Play by Deepak Kumar
DESCRIPTION:Chalk Circle Collective presents a brand new play in an experimental workshop production to Cygnet Theatre’s Joan Performing Arts Center. “Advanced Persistent Teenagers” by Deepak Kumar (House of India at the Old Globe) follows 2 teenage hackers\, Axyz and Lapras\, who only know each other through online voice chat. When their hacker collective\, dark w0rld\, abruptly disbands\, the boys find themselves adrift. Searching for purpose—and still craving the rush—the two launch a plan that may just change the hacker world forever. This “workshop production” is a novel concept rarely seen in the landscape of professional theatre. The 2-person play will be fully staged and produced – but because this workshop process is an opportunity for playwright Deepak Kumar to revise and explore\, the actors will have new rewrites for every performance. With new script pages in hand\, our two incredible actors will navigate a different and unique version of the play each night. There will even be 2 alternate endings on the 2 weekends at the Joan so you can come back and see just how much has changed! Becks Redman\, artistic producer at the Old Globe\, directs this production starring Devyn Wade and Giancarlo Lugo. Chalk Circle Collective is the avant garde theatre company behind last year’s “The Strangers” at the Old Town theatre and the award-winning productions of “Constellations” and “The Turn of the Screw” Chalk Circle Collective on Facebook / Instagram

SUMMARY:SOCAL EURO 2026
DESCRIPTION:It started back in 2001 by Lon Mok and Paul Chan — just a group of friends who love European car culture and the community surrounding it. We organized smaller local events using web forums\, spreading the word one post at a time. \nOur first large event in 2003 was called NorCal vs SoCal in San Luis Obispo. We called it a Gathering because we never liked the idea of cars being judged. Every car — stock or modified — deserves appreciation. \nTwo decades later\, Big SOCAL EURO has grown into one of the West Coast’s most anticipated automotive traditions. The spirit is exactly the same.

Though Live Era remains a document of GNR in their younger days\, the release couldn’t be better timed: then and now\, GNR are one of the most ferocious live bands on the planet. \nWith previously announced appearances at festivals in Mexico\, Brazil\, and the UK\, the 31-date tour will feature an EU leg with performances in Poland\, Ireland\, the Netherlands\, Germany\, Belgium\, and France\, before GNR returns to North America for a run traversing the United States and Canada. Tickets are available at gunsnroses.com. For the full tourschedule\, see below. \n2026 Tour Dates \nSaturday\, March 28 2026            Monterrey\, Mexico                  Tecate Pa’l Norte* \nWednesday\, April 1 2026            Porto Alegre\, Brazil                  Estádio Beira Rio \nSaturday\, April 4 2026                 São Paulo\, Brazil                      Monsters Of Rock* \nTuesday\, April 7 2026                 São José do Rio Preto\, Brazil     Alberto Bertelli Lucatto \nFriday\, April 10 2026                  Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil               Engenhao \nSunday\, April 12 2026                Vitoria\, Brazil                          Estádio Estadual Kleber José de Andrade \nWednesday\, April 15 2026          Salvador\, Brazil                        Arena Fonte Nova \nSaturday\, April 18 2026              Fortaleza\, Brazil                       Arena Castelão \nTuesday\, April 21 2026               Sao Luiz\, Brazil                         Estádio Governador João Castelo “Castelão” \nSaturday\, April 25 2026              Belém do Para\, Brazil               Estadio Olimpico do Para “Mangueirão” \nTuesday\, May 5\, 2026               Hollywood\, FL                     Hard Rock Hollywood \nThursday\, May 7\, 2026         Daytona Beach\, FL            Welcome To Rockville Festival* \nThursday\, June 4 2026          Gliwice\, Poland              PreZero Arena Gliwice \nSaturday\, June 6 2026          Gliwice\, Poland              PreZero Arena Gliwice \nWednesday\, June 10 2026        Dublin\, Ireland                3Arena \nFriday\, June 12 –                     Donington\, UK                 Download Festival* \nSunday\, June 14 2026 \nThursday\, June 18 2026          Amsterdam\, Netherlands         Ziggo Dome \nSaturday\, June 20 2026           Amsterdam\, Netherlands     Ziggo Dome \nTuesday\, June 23 2026           Berlin\, Germany                   Uber Arena \nThursday\, June 25 2026          Berlin\, Germany             Uber Arena \nSunday\, June 28 2026          Antwerp\, Belgium            AFAS Dome \nWednesday\, July 1 2026        Paris\, France                Accor Arena \nFriday\, July 3 2026             Paris\, France                Accor Arena \nThursday\, July 23 2026               Raleigh\, NC                             Cater-Finley Stadium \nSunday\, July 26 2026                 Saratoga Springs\, NY                Saratoga Performing Arts Center \nWednesday\, July 29 2026           Tinley Park\, IL                          Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre \nSaturday\, August 1 2026            Hershey\, PA                            Hersheypark Stadium \nWednesday\, August 5 2026        Toronto\, ON                            Rogers Stadium \nSaturday\, August 8 2026             Shakopee\, MN                         Mystic Lake Amphitheater \nWednesday\, August 12 2026       East Rutherford\, NJ                  MetLife Stadium \nSunday\, August 16 2026            St. Louis\, MO                           Busch Stadium \nWednesday\, August 19 2026       Kansas City\, MO                      Morton Amphitheater \nSaturday\, August 22 2026           Las Vegas\, NV                          Allegiant Stadium \nWednesday\, August 26 2026       Edmonton\, AB                         Commonwealth Stadium \nSaturday\, August 29 2026           Vancouver\, BC                         BC Place \nWednesday\, September 2 2026  San Diego\, CA                         Snapdragon Stadium \nSaturday\, September 5 2026      Pasadena\, CA                          Rose Bowl \nWednesday\, September 9 2026  Arlington\, TX                           Globe Life Field \nSaturday\, September 12 2026     Ridgedale\, MO                        Thunder Ridge Nature Arena \nWednesday\, September 16 2026 San Antonio\, TX                      Alamodome \nSaturday\, September 19 2026     Atlanta\, GA                             Truist Park \n*Festival appearance
