From Armed Forces Day through Memorial Day\, Castaways Park will be transformed into a Field of Honor where large American Flags will display the red\, white\, and blue will line the park’s pathways\, and patriotic art and other displays will be intermixed among the flags.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRibbons will adorn the flags\, honoring military servicemembers\, both living and deceased\, active and inactive\, as well as our police\, firefighters\, and other first responders. \nFlags at the Field of Honor can be dedicated in honor of those who protect us. You are invited to dedicate one or more flags which will be adorned with the name of your honoree and other information and photos if available.   A flag can be dedicated for only $60 per honoree. \nProceeds from flag dedications and donations are used to assist their servicemembers and their families and other Club Americanism projects and youth charities in the communities we serve. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ken Marino and David Wain met at NYU in 1988 where they co-founded the legendary sketch comedy group THE STATE. Staged outdoors in a public park\, audiences receive a map and follow a wandering course through a landscape filled with music\, art\, and movement. Listeners of all ages will discover unexpected delights as they explore the park\, igniting the imagination\, activating the senses\, and encouraging us to become “all ears”. In the process\, we all can gain a deeper appreciation for our urban natural spaces\, and consider the impact our presence leaves on our beautiful landscape. \nPARK OPERA was commissioned by Theater Powszechny in Warsaw (2016) and conceived by composer Wojtek Blecharz.
