LIVING HISTORY
Civil War Days was founded thirty-two years ago by Maureen Rivers and Carl Clink in Bartlett Park behind the Newland House in Huntington Beach. Today we host dedicated re-enactors from all over the United States in this glorious event that is always free to the public. In years past Huntington Beach hosted the annual Western region encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic, where veterans of the Civil War met to reminisce on their wartime experiences and promote veterans’ advocacy. We continue Huntington Beach’s proud historic tradition by promoting historical education and making history come alive for all of you.
