Elevate Charity Classic 2025: Catch and Fetch

Welcome to the annual Elevate Charity Classic 2025: Catch and Fetch! We here at Elevate SD Ultimate are incredibly excited to bring your our annual ultimate frisbee spring charity tournament! Our Spring Charity Tournament is a draft tournament that welcomes new and experienced players.

Players of all levels can expect a day of high spirit, competition, and community. The draft format offers the chance to meet other members of the San Diego ultimate community, and play with new teammates! Start your Memorial Day Weekend with full day of ultimate. Costs: Early bird registration price is $26 on or before 5/10/2024. The registration increases to $35 on 5/11/2025 so register now! Proceeds: All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to The Animal Pad! The Animal Pad is a non-profit, all breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters and the streets of Mexico. The Animal Pad provides foster care, needed veterinarian care, and stable environments while the pups find their forever homes. Special guests will be joining us on the day of the tournament for a mini adoption event so come meet pups in need!

Location: Liberty Station NTC Park Team Selection: All players will register for the tournament as a Free Agent. Prior to tournament, players will be drafted to create equitable teams. Players may request a baggage with one other registrant to play together on the same team. If you wish to volunteer as a potential team captain, please let us know!

Game Format: Games will be played to 13, with halftime when the first team scores 7 points or 45 minutes have elapsed from the start of play, whichever occurs first. Hard cap at 75 minutes. The hard cap is the ending of the game once 75 minutes has elapsed. At the hard cap, play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the score is tied, play continues until one additional goal is scored. Otherwise, the game ends. Teams will have one 2 minute timeouts per half and one 30 second floater per team. No timeouts are allowed after hard cap.

Gender Ratio: At flip disc, captains will agree on the gender ratios for that game. This is to ensure equal opportunity play without forcing any one player to play the entire game. Gen-zone is the method of determining gender ratio for each point during the game.
