The Dare is the stage name of American musician Harrison Patrick Smith, known for his alternative and electroclash-style dance music. Previously performing under the name Turtlenecked, he rebranded as The Dare after moving to New York City, where he gained prominence with the 2022 single “Girls“ and for producing Charli XCX’s 2024 track “Guess“. He released his debut EP, The Sex EP, in 2023, followed by his first studio album, What’s Wrong with New York?, in 2024.
